MEET STEVE ERTLE

FRONT LINE LEADERSHIP

With a proven record of positive community impact, I am committed to a continuation of balanced and effective leadership.

Let me introduce myself, my name is Steve Ertle and I am humbled to be a 2021 Red Cross Community Impact Hero award recipient for the Poconos during Covid. I'm what you would call a true son of the Poconos with deep family roots that go back over 100 years. I'm proud to have grown up in a family business that my father and mother, Steve and May Ertle, started over 50 years ago.

WHY I'M RUNNING

COMMON SENSE SOLUTIONS |NOT POLITICS

SMALL BUSINESS.jpg

The answer is simple, there comes a point in life when you have to step up and take the lead during tough times. What I witnessed during Covid was unacceptable. Watching elected officials disappear instead of being on the front lines with communities when they were needed the most. Listening to leaders bickering at each other rather than coming together to address important issues showed me that things needed to change.

When I was presented with an opportunity to represent the Pocono Tourism Industry in Harrisburg, I jumped at the chance to speak on behalf of over 30,000 hardworking local professionals. As an industry expert, I took the time to prepare the facts, and interview the CEOs of both Lehigh Valley Pocono and St. Luke's hospitals to make sure I was using the most up-to-date health information available when speaking. I took representing a 4 billion dollar industry that represents 24% of our local workforce very seriously as a citizen. With over 19.4k views to this day, I am proud to have stepped up when the community needed a strong voice in Harrisburg.

As a small business owner we need someone that knows what it is like to run a business. Someone who knows the area and has seen all the changes, the positives and negatives and has the ideas to make everyone's life better.

New Business Owner
Camp Out, Smithfield

On his own accord, Steve reached out to me, a new business owner in East Stroudsburg, and made it clear how glad he is to see new business thriving in the Poconos. Every time I have sought guidance from Steve, his knowledge and relationships have helped bring light to avenues which solve problems in real-time.

During Covid, Steve was the only one out there supporting, promoting, and fighting for all of us that work in the hospitality field. The Pocono hospitality relief fund helped out so many during the holidays and his FaceBook Live videos supporting all the restaurants are the best. Myself and so many others witnessed the non-stop positive work for the community he accomplished
